FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

• Save the Music Launches New WebsiteSTM-101 • 07-12-2001

Through centuries of time and space, music remains the most important generational link for the transmission of deeply held feelings, values, and rich cultural heritage of its people. Our web site, savethemusic.com, has been created as a vehicle to provide support for Folk music, its fans and performers.

We are creating unique collections an a world calendar of musical events and relevant happenings that contribute to the survival and revival of Jewish and other ethnic music throughout the world.

We are offering free or very inexpensive web sites (including production and hosting) to all of those involved in Jewish music such as performers, composers, teachers and students.

We are on a mission to collect old recordings that may lie in an attic, a garage, in a box or in private collections waiting to be found and appreciated.

Our purpose is not simply a sentimental presentation of a lost world.

We are trying to create a dynamic community where performers will be able to share among themselves and with the general public their trade and recordings.

We expect people to support these performers by hiring them and / or by sponsoring their recordings.

We expect some young talent to surge out of the richnest of our heritage and create new songs and or revitilize the old melodies with new rythms and interpretations.

The re-launching of savethemusic.com is a call to participate in the revival of Jewish music, and hopefully in other culture's revival process.

Visit our site at savethemusic.com or contact us to join us or for further information.
